Questions About 1-on-1 Training
Do I need a professional camera?
No. Bring the camera you have, from an entry-level interchangeable-lens camera to a professional body. We work with your gear and only talk about upgrades if they would actually help.
Do you teach Sony cameras?
Yes. Sony cameras are one of the topics you can pick, including menus, settings and setting the camera up the way you shoot.
Are the photography classes private?
Yes. Every session is one-on-one with Danny Austin.
Can beginners book a session?
Yes. The Quick Session is a good place to start: camera settings, exposure, focus, basic lighting and your questions.
Can you teach me studio lighting?
Yes. Studio lighting is part of the Mentor Session, and lighting can be the focus of a Hands-On session.
Can you teach off-camera flash?
Yes. Flash is covered in the Hands-On session, and off-camera flash is part of the Mentor Session.
Do you teach photography business and pricing?
Yes. The Mentor Session includes photography business Q&A, and pricing and client workflow are topics you can choose for any session.
